"Holy water at work": pastor arrested as "holy water" kills two children

No no no this is simply unacceptable! I really don't want to believe this. Here is the latest news i just read and I couldn’t help commenting
According to DailyPostNG, A 25-year-old woman, Ese Oghenevwe, and a pastor, Austin Eduviere, have been arrested by the police in Delta State, for killing her two sons, Prayer Clement (nine months) and Wisdom Clement (two years), with sanctified water. This must be a joke!!!

One LESS d**k to worry about as man loses scrotum

Happy people, the things I read in the news never cease to amaze me. So according to DailyPostNg, landlady's children cut off a tenant's private parts (pictured above) in Lagos over supposed unresolved lease issues and  the 35 - year old is fighting for his life in the hospital (summary of the story).

Photo: Beyonce looking stunning amidst troubled marriage rumours

I so love this woman! The media and others are trying to break her with unfounded rumours about her private life but she doesn't seem to be affected in any way. She is living her life normally, ignoring the rumours and sharing stunning pictures of herself and her family at every opportunity she gets on social media.
The beautiful Beyonce posted the above pic on her Instagram page and she looks simply amazing. You like? I so like. You go girl and keep looking stunning.
Remain happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo.

Woman bares it all to the statue of late Nelson Mandela

Happy people, talk about love for Mandela yoh! We all love the late Mandela but how far are you willing to go to express your love? I can tell you that there is a woman who takes the lead in this but in a weird way.
According to reports, an unidentified woman went all out and stripped naked in Sandton on Monday afternoon in expression of her undying love for the late former South African President. See more photos after the cut...

Boko Haram bombs bridge and kill 8 persons in Yobe

According to reports, suspected members of the sect arrived around 7:30pm in motorbikes and operated unhindered till 2:00am. I will never understand how these things happen. These men were on the loose for over 6 hours and no one could stop them. I see where they get their boldness from – they seem untouchable. In the attack or should I say demonstration, 8 people were killed and a major bridge destroyed. The attack happened yesterday night July 28th in Katarko town, Yobe state.

Photo of the day: the way forward in Nigerian politics

Happy people, you all know that it is election period in Nigeria and Nigerian politicians are not relenting in their efforts to get votes by all means possible. Giving out food items such as; cooking oil, rice, garri and so on seem to be the way forward. I have seen a couple of pictures with politicians' faces on food items. I find this quite hilarious I must say.
The fact that these politicians really think that Nigerians deserve to be bought with these items, is just really funny. I am wondering why they didn't think of feeding the poor long before now. Doing it now is definitely questionable.
I really hope that Nigerians display integrity and don't give away their rights just over food items that will only last for a moment.
Oh well, what is my own with politics? Please remain happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo.

Plan goes wrong for a female suicide bomber in Kano this morning

Boko-Haram
Another day, another bomb explosion. It seems there isn't going to be an end to this. According to reports, a female suicide bomber blew up herself in Kano few hours ago as something went wrong and the bomb she was carrying exploded midway to her destination. The incident took place around 10.45am at Hotoro Round About near a mega Petrol station. Two persons standing close to the bomber were reportedly killed in the incident. Monday inspiration: don't be paralyzed by fear of failure

Happy people, I am always excited about Mondays because I get to share my most important posts with you all. Here is today's one. I hope it inspires you to get rid of the fear of failure. I wish you a happy and productive week ahead. Enjoy!
Early last year, I was about to move from one stage of my life to another and I was paralysed with fear of the next stage. One of the reasons why I was so afraid was the fact that I dreaded what would happen next. I was living in constant fear of failure that it literally paralysed me. I was unable to move forward or think of any other thing. All I could think about was whether what lay in store for me would be success or failure.

Photos: Tiwa Savage being African

The elegant Tiwa looked simply stunning in this outfit and no one can tell me otherwise. Tiwa wore this beautiful outfit to label mate, Dr Sid's traditional marriage to his boo Simo Osomo today. Happy people, you like? The guys, thou shall not commit too much looking because she is already taken (tongue out).

Remain happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo.

Breaking: Suspected Boko Haram members storm Adamawa state, soldiers and residents on the run, scores killed

211013F.Boko-Haram-Gunmen.jpg - 211013F.Boko-Haram-Gunmen.jpg
Happy people, I really hate reporting bad news but I couldn't help this one because I am totally furious about this story.
According to reports, the community of Garjida in Gombi Local Government Area of Adamwa State is currently under attack by the Boko Haram sect.
DailyPost Nigeria sources say scores have been killed in the attack which started at about 5pm.
Many residents have fled the community in attempt to save their lives, while several others cannot be accounted for.
"Soldiers deployed around the area were said to have fled as a result of the heavy artillery at the disposal of the terrorists" - DailyPost.

Photo of the day: "Egbeda pool party in Lagos"

Happy people, here is one of the many reasons why I love being Nigerian. As Nigerians, we are really good with making the impossible possible and having fun no matter our social class and affordability. If we want a pool party and a proper pool isn't available, we simple make do with what is available. After all, what's important in a pool is the water in it.
I found this picture quite interesting and innovative too. Someone said it is an Egbeda pool party in Lagos. I am sure they had fun or what do you guys think?
Anyway, enjoy your weekend and remain happy. Xoxo.

Photo of the day: A lady proposes to her man and he said yes!

Yeah you read right! This seems to be the way forward (some men take damn too long to make up their minds). Let's see the next excuse he’ll have now.
I found this picture quite interesting and this lady so brave. I don't know how many ladies can actually do this. If you are able to, please do because sometimes men just need that push to make up their minds since they are often confused (hehehe). If you really want something, you should make the effort to get it. Congrats to them. Happy people, do you think it is awkward for a lady to propose to a man? As a man, would you say "yes"? And as a lady, can you actually ask him to marry you? Let's talk about it.
Remain happy and keep enjoying your weekend happy people. Xoxo

Photos: Victims of Kaduna Blast in "HOSPITAL"

Happy people, this is what a hospital in a country that is supposed the richest economy in Africa looks like. Hospitalu kwa? I weep for this country. Should this even qualify as a hospital? A health facility should look better than this, won't you agree? And the Governor is squatting in one pic to talk to the victim (how nice of him).
Mbok and Biko, I wish all the victims a quick recovery so they can get out of this "hospital".

Remain happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo. More pics below.

Photos: yours truly taking advantage of the unsteady weather in Cape Town

When you look like me, you surely must love taking pictures of yourself (tongue out). Anyway, I was out and about in the city today. Then I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to take pictures and they turned out really ugly I think.
Anyway, enjoy your weekend and remain happy. Xoxo. See more pics after the cut...

Update: Kano bomb blast kills one, injures eight

I am really finding it difficult to keep up with these explosions in Nigeria. Reporting it is even getting me depressed. Anyway, according to reports, a blast occurred near New Road Motor in the Sabongari area of Kano city this afternoon. According to police sources, the explosive was hidden in a table top fridge disguised as luggage.
The number of causalities is uncertain but reports claim the blast killed one person and injured about eight persons. Once again, my heart goes out to all those affected by these unfortunate incidents directly or indirectly.

Remain happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo

Oh Wow! Have a look at Nicki Minaj's Artwork for New Single, Anaconda (Rated 18+)

Hmm and I was just reading something about her toning down. Oh well, toning down must be relative and this is what it definitely means to Nicki Minaj. Maybe the toning down only had to do with the hair. Love her or hate her, she will always be Nicki.
The controversial rapper unveiled this artwork for her new single titled "Anaconda" this afternoon. The song will drop on Monday 28th. I can't wait to hear this song o. Please if this picture offends you, I am sorry about that biko kwanu.

Remain happy and spread happiness around.

UNILAG undergraduate, Moshood Abiola Invents Maths Game for a more Interesting Maths Experience

Moshood
Moshood Abiola

This is the kind of news that excites me. I have never had any doubt that fresh ideas abound in Nigeria and I believe there is more to the youths of Nigeria than mere crime and corruption. The government and corporate bodies should endorse and encourage youths like these rather than waste their money on irrelevant things.
A final year student of the University of Lagos, UNILAG, Moshood Abiola has narrated to P.M. News how he spent ten years to invent a new maths game for primary and secondary school students.
The 26-year-old Mathematics Education student of UNILAG, said he had always thought of how to help younger minds erase the fear that mathematical equations posed to them but did not know how to go about it.
“At a point, I thought it was not possible because everything I came up with was counter-productive,” he said.

Two bomb explosions rock one city in one day?

This Boko Haram must be thinking they are untouchable. They unleashed their terror on Kaduna today with two explosions. The first explosion took place along Alkali road, central Kaduna, killing about 25 people.

Photo of the day: a beautiful lady every man should date

Someone posted this pic on twitter with the caption, "guys can you date her?" I don't know why he asked that. Happy people, please is there anything wrong with a man dating this beautiful lady?  If I was a man I would totally date her. I think she looks really amazing. What do you guys think?
Please enjoy your night and remain happy. Xoxo.

Question of the day: What is the difference between sex, f**king and love making?

Okay happy people, I have been trying to understand the difference between the three things mentioned above. I actually thought they meant the same thing I guess I am wrong because a friend just told me otherwise.
So she said she is breaking up with her man because he told her he wants to have sex with her. Hmmm! I was ok with her reason and thought she wasn’t ready for that and was doing the right thing.

President Johnathan finally meets with the parents and escaped Chibok girls

Finally, GEJ met with the parents of the Chibok girls and the escaped girls in the presidential villa today. I have been reading different criticisms about his meeting. Some people think it was long overdue. As for me, I am just thankful that he finally had this meeting and thanks to the 17 year old Malala for her wisdom. Here is the part I love most about his statement;
“Our commitment is not just to get the girls out, it is also to rout Boko Haram completely from Nigeria. But we are very, very mindful of the safety of the girls. We want to return them all alive to their parents. If they are killed in any rescue effort, then we have achieved nothing,” President Jonathan said to the parents and community leaders present at the meeting.

Monday inspiration: Self awareness as key to success

Yesterday evening I accidentally watched a music talent show (Idols SA) and I couldn’t just stop laughing because it was totally hilarious. It was Idols wooden Mic. That category which simply belongs to the big ‘dreamers’. The people who believe that they are talented singers and no one can tell them anything different.

Pic of the day: IG of police controlling traffic in Abuja

Hmmm the IG of police took to the street to lead by example and show his boys how it should be done. In the picture the IG is seen controlling traffic at the Ministry of Finance Junction, Abuja. Great stuff! Can he do this every day please?

Anyway, have a great week happy people and remain happy. Xoxo

"Nigerian Pastors Need To Be Born Again" - Etcetera

When I read an article like this, I really can't help sharing it. Etcetera has been hated by many for being bold and blunt with his writing but I love him. The article is a long one though. However, if you have the patience to read it, you'll enjoy it. Remain happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo.
“Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, ye must be born again” (John 3:1-7).

Shocking: Woman set on fire in Nigeria for giving birth to only girls?

This is simply unbelievable! I just read about this now online. Apparently, a woman in Ebonyi state was set on fire for giving birth to girls only. I can't believe things like these still happen in this century where everyone should know that a woman has nothing to do with the sex of a baby.
The husband identified as Paul Nwakpuke is suspected of being behind a group of hired assassins who set his wife, Monica Nwakpuke on fire for not giving birth to boys.

Why I love Nelson Mandela

Today is Nelson Mandela day and I thought we should share our admirable qualities of the best leader Africa has ever had.
The one thing I admired most about Mandela is the fact that he was never power hungry. He had the opportunity to govern South Africa till death but he did not. Mandela really understood that being a leader means serving the people.
When I think about Mandela, I wish that Nigeria can produce a leader like him and not the power hungry ones we see. Most of them want to stay in office forever and continue destroying Nigerian.  I often wonder why they always want a second term. What exactly will they do differently and why couldn't they do it within the first term? They are just power hungry.

Anyway, please share the things you admire about Mandela happy people and remain happy. Xoxo.

Picture of a solar powered car invented by a Nigerian!

Yes you read right! A Nigerian has invented a solar powered car. I know there is more to Nigerians than the image of criminals that is imposed on every Nigerian. Ideas abound in Nigeria and I think it is worth blowing the trumpet about. Please let us celebrate his greatness. More details about the inventor coming soon. I was too excited to share this.
Remain happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo.

"I got married at gun point" - Man tells a girl he deceived

Happy people, I am actually sick and haven't been able to think. However, an unpleasant phone call just inspired me to write this story. I don't know why a right thinking man will want to mistreat a lady and then ask to talk about it. I hope this alerts men to the things they do and the ladies, I hope it helps you deal with mistreatment. Enjoy!
Can we talk? What exactly should we talk about? This is just me having an interior monologue after an unpleasant phone call. Here is the thing; you decide on your own that you are going to convince a lady to have a relationship with you. You set out on that mission and you succeed not because the lady is a fool but because she decides to give you a chance. You profess love to her with supposed sincerity while you know that you are just telling lies. About two months after the girl says “yes”, you put up a picture of you standing beside a lady in a white dress. She looks at the picture several times and tries to convince herself that she is dreaming. After she wakes up, you call her and say “we need to talk”. Seriously? What is there to talk about? Why do people do this?

HUB Funny Photo of the day!

Happy people, I found this picture online and I thought it was super hilarious. Do you guys see what I see? Look carefully people. Something funny is happening here abi na only me waka come? (lol). And i just noticed I have too many posts on president Johnathan today (falling in love with him). Anyway, remain happy and spread happiness around mbok, ejor and biko. Xoxo.

GEJ solicits for funds to combat Boko Haram insurgents

In the latest news, president Johnathan is soliciting for a loan of $1 billion to fight Boko Haram insurgents. The president asked the House of Reps members to approve a request for an external loan of $1 billion in a letter read this morning in the house. Apparently, the money is needed for the upgrade of the equipment of the Armed Forces in their continued effort to get rid of the Boko Haram.

He has refused to commit, what do I do about it?

Happy people, here is my special post on relationship. Love is a beautiful thing. Enjoy!
I am 32 years old and my life isn’t where I envisioned it to be. My career hasn’t moved the way I expected it to and my love life seems stagnant as well. As I teenager, I dreamt of being at the peak of my career and having three kids at 28 years old the latest but today I am still single and I feel like a failure. I have a war with myself over this issue and my married friends and family are not helping either. They keep disturbing me about when I am getting married and this is driving me crazy.

Day seven arrives for a group of robbers in Ibadan

The-suspects1
You know the old saying, six days for the thief and one day for the owner? The seventh day is always the bad day for the thief - a day they never anticipate arriving. The group of robbers (pictured above) have been terrorizing their victims in Ibadan until their recent arrest. I often wonder why people especially armed robbers only feel regret after they are caught.

Boko Haram strikes again in Borno state, kill many, wreck churches and residential buildings

Suspected members of Boko Haram ceased Dille Village in Askira-Uba LGA of Borno State very early yesterday morning July 14th. At least five people were killed and three churches as well as shops and residential buildings were affected in the attack.
I hope that one day all Nigerians will wake up and all of these will be things of the past. The situation seems so bleak but I believe there is hope and things will get better. Anyway, enjoy the rest of your day and remain happy. Xoxo.

"I'll meet Chibok girls' parents, Johnathan promises Malala" - Punch Online

Malala Yousafzai and President Goodluck Jonathan.
I just found this annoying headline on twitter posted by Punch and I decided to read it out of mere curiosity. Reading the full story even got me more angry. I haven't really been following this story because I got tired and gave up just like many other Nigerians have done over this Chibok girls' issue. I can't believe that the president is only considering meeting the Chibok girls' parents after Malala's visit.

Question of the day: Where are all the gentlemen in Nigeria?

I am forced to believe that there are no gentlemen left in Nigeria. What is really going on? Does this have anything to do with the situation in the country? I was in a waiting hall today and all the men were sitting comfortably while the women were standing and these included old women too. What's happening to us as humans? Men please help me here, I need to understand this. I think what makes a man a real man is the way he treats a woman. Anyway, remain happy and spread happiness around.  Xoxo.

Photo of the day: this is the kiss of victory

Germany could not stop celebrating their last night's win over Argentina in the 2014 FIFA World Cup final. The players even celebrated more by kissing each other. It is allowed because victory is sweet. Congrats to the Germans. In other news, I am going to be missing in action for a few hours in preparation for take-off. I promise to return to blogging as soon as I arrive at my destination and settle down. Remain happy dearies and spread happiness around. Xoxo.

Be Inspired: Thank God University Education Has NO Age Limit

Good morning happy people, I hope your Monday is fine. I have decided to share a story that I haven't shared in a while with you today because of the young lady I encountered over the weekend who told me she believed she was too old to go back to university and she is only 25 years old. If you share her sentiments, I hope this post inspires you to have a rethink. Enjoy!

I remember how anxious I was about going to university. The university campus almost became my second home because I was there all the time to check the status of my admission.

Germany takes the 2014 FIFA World Cup home!

Wow! Germany defeats Argentina by 1-0 to emerge winner of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.  I really wanted Argentina to win but I don't know why my Messi couldn't score a goal. Anyway, congrats to Germany on the win. Remain happy and spread happiness around.  Have a great and happy night happy people.  Xoxo.

Funny Story: "Mayor of Mexican Fishing village "marries" crocodile - BBC ??

This is so funny. I found this picture on twitter, posted by BBC. Apparently, a major of Mexican fishing village decided to "marry" a crocodile (because he couldn't find any human that met his standards). The things we see in this world! Seriously what is the essence of this? Is it for the love of animals or all the humans in Mexico and the world don't measure up to his standards? My dear don't mind them, I am sure a crocodile will be less complicated than humans (lol). Anyway, I wish him a happy married life with his crocodile. Remain happy my happy people jare and spread the happiness around. Xoxo

Reader's Mail: How Do I Stop My Best-friend's Father From harassing Me Sexually?

Dear Happy,
I am a regular reader of your blog and I like the work you are doing with it. I read your recent reader's mail on sexual harassment and I thought to share my experience with you and your readers because it is similar.
I have been friends with my best friend for 7 years now and the dad literally watched me grow up. He has always seen me as his daughter and treated me as such. However, the situation changed last year and he started seeing me differently. He has been harassing me to sleep with him and this is almost putting a strain on my relationship with my best friend.

Photos: My Last Outing in Lagos City (MTN Music+ App launch)

Yes o yours truly was invited to an event in Lagos last night and it was a fun night although I was unable to stay for long because the event started later than scheduled (African time). MTN launched a music app last night with an amazing Lasgidi party. We took some pictures and I have decided to share them because I think I looked good! (Tongue out). Please try not to commit too much looking. Enjoy your weekend darlings and remain happy. Xoxo. More pics after the cut. Enjoy!
