"We are sex workers and not ashawo" - Lagos prostitutes cry out (photos)

nigerian prostitue protest
Happy people, do you think prostitution should qualify as a profession in Nigeria? Apparently, Patoo Abraham, a female prostitute in Lagos thinks it should be legalized.
The 48-year-old, mother of two who heads the Nigerian chapter of African Sex Workers Alliance (ASWA) and the Women of Power Initiative (WOPI) is seeking that sex workers be protected and respected. She has led protests in Lagos in attempt to drive home her point.
“Sex work is normal work and there are sex workers everywhere under one form of disguise. The government should stop criminalising our work”, she said.
I refuse to comment on this matter because it's beyond me. I"m not trying to be judgmental but should this even be a profession? I’m just saying. What do you guys think though?
Please remain happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo
