At least one person was killed and three people injured as a
result of a 5.3 magnitude earthquake in Orkney today, Tuesday. The man was
killed when a wall of a disused mining building fell on him in the Orkney area
of Johannesburg, which is where the quake was centered (reports SA Breaking
news).
An earthquake is definitely not a nice experience even though
it lasts for only one second. The tremor which lasted for one minute left a
lasting impression on people who experienced it as they took to twitter to
express their alarm. According to reports, it was also felt in Mozambique and
Botswana.
