First Ebola case recorded in New York as doctor tests positive for the deadly virus

According to reports, Dr Craig Spencer (pictured above), who treated Ebola patients while working for the charity Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) in Guinea has tested positive to Ebola. The 33-year old doctor left Guinea on 14 October, and returned to New York City on 17 October. He however, began to show symptoms of the virus on Tuesday and contacted medical services as he suspected he could be infected with the virus. He is currently being kept in isolation in the city’s Bellevue Hospital.
The doctor is the first Ebola case diagnosed in New York, and the fourth in the US.
The WHO has said the treatment for this deadly virus should be available in a couple of weeks and I keep reading about millions of dollars being donated for the fight of this virus. I really hope that a solution comes soon and those infected recover soon too.

Anyway, please remain happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo.

Boko Haram Vs Fed. Govt of Nigerian: who is deceiving who?

Happy people, first of all, I really apologise for the long silence. I am just terribly busy with a lot of things right now. I will be fully back in a couple of weeks after this interesting phase of my life. Anyway, back to why I had to buy out time to blog. So I have been reading a lot about this so called Boko Haram and FG’s negotiation. At first, I really hoped that something was right and like the story went, the kidnapped girls would be brought back and maybe minimal peace would be achieved in the region.
However, the recent reports about suspected Boko Haram activities (60 women abducted, bomb blasts, killings in Maiduguri and so on) in spite of the so called ceasefire agreement is quite worrisome and I couldn’t help commenting. Can these people (Federal Government of Nigeria) please keep all their plans or endeavours to themselves until they have something solid and valid to say before coming at Nigerians with all these stories. I am personally tired of these conflicting reports. Please remain happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo. Find the report after the cut if you are interested.

US sends medical experts to Nigeria to study Ebola containment methods

Nigeria’s ability to contain the deadly Ebola virus has been greatly commended by the international community. The United States’ Center for Disease Control and Prevention has sent medical experts to Nigeria to learn how Nigeria was able to contain its Ebola outbreak.
This decision was made in effort to contain the virus, after a Liberian man got to the US few days ago with the deadly disease. The officials will also visit Senegal to study its containment model.
Ok, I must say, I am happy that Nigerian authorities won the fight against the outbreak of this deadly disease in Nigeria. Their efforts deserve commendation. I hope they can also do the same with Boko Haram. I am just saying!

Please remain happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo

How does this happen? [photo]

Happy people, I really don’t understand how this happens. This is somewhere in Aba, Abia State. People live and trade here in the midst of this garbage. This is simply unbelievable! What ever happened to environmental sanitation? How do you live healthily like this? Wow! I am lost for words but it is what it is.
Anyway, remain happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo

HUB photo of the day: lack of drainage displaces residents of Warri, Delta State

Happy people, I know this picture might not be new to some of you because you probably see this every day. However, the fact that we see this every day and are used to it does not make it right though. This should not be happening in a country named "the giant of Africa". I can only imagine the loss the residents of this area would have suffered. I don't know which is more annoying, the flood or the fact that the residents actually find this funny? I see the man in one of the picture is smiling about this. Have we become that immune to the circumstances in Nigeria that we laugh when we should be crying? It is sad that this attitude keeps preventing any change. My heart goes out to the residents of this area. Apparently, this is somewhere in Delta State.
Anyway, remain happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo
