Happy people, I have been reading different things online
about how poorly Nigerian students did at WAEC this year. The first thing that
came to my mind was, how won't they fail when they don't even have a good
learning environment and enough support to excel academically?
I think education in Nigeria has been overlooked by the
government for such a long time now. Students don’t have the needed support to
succeed and corporate bodies are not even helping matters with their constant talent
hunt schemes aimed at making more profits. Please why won’t they fail WAEC when
they aren’t even encouraged to study? The idea of hard work isn’t given enough
attention in Nigeria. It is really sad but like I say #ILOVENAIJA.
