First Nigerian Ebola patient declared fit, discharged from quarantine center in Lagos

EBOLA ABUJA
Happy people, this is the latest in the news. The Nigerian Minister of Health Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu has declared the first Nigerian Ebola patient fit and has been discharged from the quarantine unit of the Emergency Operation Centre of Mainland Hospital, Yaba, Lagos.
In a press briefing on Saturday, Chukwu said that the patient who contracted the virus from Liberian-American Patrick Sawyer, was asked to go home after all the necessary medical examinations revealed she was free of the virus. She was the first doctor to be infected with the virus.
“The total number of Ebola cases now stands at 12, while the number of deaths remains four. The people under surveillance in Lagos is now 189, while six are in Enugu, in southeast Nigeria”, Chukwu said.
Out of the eight people still alive, more than half of them are doing very well and showing signs of recovery.

The discharged patient is believed to be among those he earlier said were recovering.
I have some concerns though. Why don't we have pictures of the woman? Why isn't she named? After all, this is good news Nigeria should be proud of and the woman's survival should be celebrated. I am just saying!
Anyway, remain happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo
