I hope you all are enjoying your week and staying healthy. Anyway, here are my special tips on how to remain healthy. I found it to be very effective and I am referring to the wonders of green tea.   • Green tea helps with weight loss. It actually increases the metabolism. The polyphenol which is found in green tea works to intensify the levels of fat oxidation. It also intensifies the rate at which your body turns food into calories.
  • Diabetes: green tea helps in the regulation of glucose levels and slows the rise of blood sugar after eating. This prevents high insulin spikes.
  • Green tea works on the lining of the blood vessels, helping keep them relaxed and better able to withstand changes in blood pressure. It may also protect against the formation of blood clots, which are the primary cause of heart attack.
  • Green tea also reduces bad cholesterol in the blood and improves the ratio of good cholesterol to bad cholesterol.
  • The amino acid, theanine naturally found in tea leaves is the substance which is thought to provide relaxing and tranquilizing effect to tea drinkers.
  • Regular consumption of green tea is also said to reduce the risk of high blood pressure.
  • However, if you are sensitive to caffeine, it is advisable to drink one cup a day. If you are pregnant or trying to conceive, you should avoid green tea.
