"If one policeman is killed, I shall kill 20 of them" - AIG Mbu? Twenty of who?

The things I read in the news though! So according to reports, the AIG of police has equated the life of a policeman to twenty lives (not so sure whose lives though). The newly posted Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2, Joseph Mbu has threatened to kill twenty people in exchange for one policeman’s life lost during the upcoming elections in Nigeria. The AIG made the said threat known at a meeting with the Ogun State Command at its Eleweran Headquarters, Abeokuta.

“If one of my men is killed, I shall kill 20 of them but don’t shoot first. If they shoot you, shoot back in self-defence. Anybody who fires you, fire him back in self-defence. We are in a critical period. We are not para-military. We must be bold and brave. Keep an eagle eye on everybody. We are authorised by the constitution to arrest before, during and after election. Our role is to ensure free, fair and violence free election.” Mbu said.

What a nice way to ‘discourage’ his trigger happy men! Twenty of who please? Highness sha…. How about ensuring that no life is lost sir?

In other news, please stay happy and enjoy your weekend happy people!
