Awww the statue of Rhodes falls. Following a recent protest by students from the University of
Cape Town, the statue of the late imperialist Cecil Rhodes has been removed
from the University campus. The students who claimed the statue represented
oppression and institutionalised racism staged a protest demanding the removal
of it from the campus and it appears they succeeded. Okay guys well done! You made a noise
and it was loud enough. My question now is, what next? Funniest thing is, his presence will always be felt in many ways (the funds, facilities, etc.). I hope that the removal
ends institutionalised racism like you claim. Anyway, please stay happy and
