A Military Court-Martial sitting in Abuja, on Wednesday sentenced fifty four soldiers to death by firing squad for mutiny.
The soldiers were accused of mutiny, assault, and cowardice
and refusing to fight Boko-Haram in the North-Eastern part of the country.
Okay, I know nothing about military rules or whatever but I know
something about human life and I find it very disturbing for anybody’s life to
be taken forcefully. It’s unfortunate that there are some things that cannot be
changed but Nigeria should really consider abolishing this death penalty of a
thing.
