"Fed. Govt. denies hiring Stephen Davis as Boko Haram negotiator"?

Who is deceiving who in this Nigeria? “FG has denied claims by Australian hostage negotiator, Stephen Davis, that he was hired by the Nigerian Government to negotiate for the release of Chibok girls”. This is what I just read and I'm amazed. Hang on a second, if the federal government did not hire him, then who did? The news in Nigeria can be very confusing. One moment they are hiring a negotiator and the next moment they are not. What or who do we believe? Do they just like confusing the citizens or what?
Mr Mike Omeri yesterday Sept. 5th in Abuja, refuted claims of hiring any Boko Haram negotiator. "For now nobody has been hired by the government to negotiate on its behalf with Boko Haram. Anytime the government decides to do so, it will make it known to the public. The government is still investigating the allegations made by the alleged negotiator. However, the government has no plan to question anybody because of those allegations made by the Australian,” Omeri said.

Hmmm what can I say? It is Nigeria; a country where anything goes and everyone is confused.
Please remain happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo
