President Buhari optimistic about defeating Boko Haram by the end of 2015

It appears President Muhammadu Buhari is making progress with the fight against Boko Haram as he is optimistic about ending the deadly activities of the insurgents by the end of this year. According to DailyPost,
The President made this known in Cotonou on Saturday during a gala lunch held in his honour by the President of Benin Republic, Boni Yayi, where he equally expressed optimism that the dividends of the Multi-national Joint Task Force, MNJTF launched in Cameroon on Thursday would soon become obvious.
This was as President Yayi described his country as the 37th State of Nigeria and assured President Buhari that 800 troops would be contributed to the Joint Task Force by his country in the all-out-assault on insurgents.
While commending Yayi for the gesture, Buhari said, “and I assure you that we will defeat Boko Haram by the end of this year”.
Err … don’t know how I feel about this. It sounds like something I’ve heard before. Buhari was almost certain around the election period that Boko Haram could be defeated in three months but look where we are? Now he says before the end of the year. Anyway, all I can do is wish Mr President all the best and hope his wishes come true. Please stay happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo
