21 Year Old Boy Commits Suicide Over Girlfriend? For What!!!!!

OMG! I am one person that will never understand why any human would choose to take his or her life especially because of a break - up. Like seriously? Life is so sweet and beautiful why will a person want to deprive himself/ herself of that? The 21 year old handsome boy above, identified as Effiong Otu, a student of Maritime Academy Oron, decided to end his life because he was mistreated by his girlfriend. Hmmm too young to understand matters of the heart I would say. Apparently, he committed suicide to make his girlfriend happy. How his death will make his girlfriend or family members happy, I simply cannot comprehend. When someone you love hurts you, you should stay alive to show that person how much better you are without them.

Photo: South African screen diva Bonang Matheba (Queen B) dazzles in white

I so love this beautiful lady and her style. Queen B of SA posted this pic on twitter and as a lady, I couldn't stop admiring her and I am sure the guys will agree with me that she is simply breath-taking.  I think she is the most stylish female celeb in SA (my opinion). Anyway, remain happy and spread happiness around.

Photos: Made In Nigeria Cars?

The Executive Director/Chief Executive of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Segun Awolowo claims this is a made in Nigeria SUV, manufactured by Innoson. Happy people, what do you think about this? Hmm if this is true, I am glad that it is happening in my life-time. I wanted to be part of the manufacturing of made in Nigeria cars as a 13 year old but unfortunately I couldn't. However, I am still part of it by writing about it (lol). Having made in Nigeria cars is definitely a sign of better things to come. Anyway, remain happy and see more photos below.

Video: Brave 9 Year Old Girl Confronts Suspected abductors

The little girl in the video, Iyabo Farouk (renamed Blessing) was abducted 3 years ago when she was 6 years old and it has been a traumatic 3 year experience for her. She was rescued from a three female child trafficking syndicate in Lagos recently by the Lagos state Police Command. In this video, she confronts her abductors. Thank goodness she was rescued alive and sound and I hope she recovers soon enough from this traumatic event. The video is a must watch!
Don't forget to remain happy because that is all you can do in this world.

"I Can't Stand My Wife Working With Other Men" - Man tells his would be wife.

My friend and I had an interesting chat over lunch the other day. As ladies it is normal that we talk about men, relationship and career. Anyway, I enjoyed the entire conversation as I listened to her tell me about her dreams and aspirations career wise. She told me about how she hopes to transform her business into an international brand. I was simply amazed and inspired by all she had to say.

Reader's Mail: Should I Have SEX With My Boss?

Happy people, I don't know how many of you know this but you can actually talk to Happy Umana about anything that you need to get off your chest by emailing me. Here is my first reader's mail and I have decided to conceal her identity for privacy reasons. Please read and share your suggestions with her because love should be shared. Remain happy. xoxo. My response is also included below. Enjoy!!
Dear Happy,
I am a regular reader of your blog and I really like the good job you are doing. I enjoy your post on life issues too. Please I have an issue that is bothering me and would love your suggestion and that of your readers too.
I recently got a job with a prestigious company and the salary is manageable.

Photos: Commercial Motorcyclists (okada) with a difference

Happy people, look what I found in Eket. I think it is both fascinating and creative! Although, commercial motorcyclists, popularly known as okada in Lagos and Cyclist in Eket has caused many controversies in Nigeria which has led to its ban in some parts of Nigeria, the ones in Eket seem to be enjoying freedom of movement. The 'Cyclists' as they are called also know how to take care of their passengers in rainy season. I took a ride on one and the innovation comes really handy as the umbrella protects you from rain. Now there is one reason to love Eket besides the amazing power supply and good roads that the city has. Akwa Ibom ado ok. Enjoy your day and remain happy. xoxo. See more pics below...

Photos: Former Super Eagles' Captain Joseph Yobo escapes with Family from the Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup Disaster

The former captain decided to take a holiday and spend time with his beautiful family since he could not stay on in Brazil. He clearly seems to have moved on from his disastrous mistake (own goal) that led to the Nigerian team exiting the World Cup and I hope you all have moved on too. Yobo is currently chilling with his lovely wife and son at Disneyland, Orlando. Happy holiday to them! You win some, you lose some I suppose. See more pics below

Question of the day: Why does a man talk sex with a strange woman on social media?

Okay, I have seriously been trying to understand this phenomenon and I still can't comprehend it. Please happy people, help me here. What gives men the boldness to talk sex with a stranger on social media?

This is Lagos (TIL): A LASTMA official allegedly assaults a Lagos motorist to convulsion

I seriously find it difficult to believe some things that I hear about happening in Lagos. Why does uniform intoxicate people so much in this country? So according to reports, a LASTMA official claimed that a motorist violated traffic rules around Ketu and that gave the official the right to take laws into his hands and assault the motorist. The assault even led to convulsion. I think that this guy should be disciplined and this uniform people need adequate training. I hope his superiors do something about this. Anyway, enjoy your day and remain happy. xoxo. More pics after the cut....

PHOTOS: my second night out in Lagos and it was strictly ladies only

Hmm what can I say? A girl has got to relax sometimes because after all the hard work, I suppose you need it. This outing was strictly ladies only, no guys allowed. Try not to commit too much looking hey lol. Enjoy your afternoon happy people and remain happy. xoxo

"My passion was football but I was not lucky enough to play"

Thank God it's Monday happy people! I hope you love Mondays as much as I do. My apologies for the long silence, I have been all over the place these past days. My post for today is inspired by a young man I met who told me that he believes some people are meant to actualize their dreams while others are meant to watch. If you think this way, I hope that after you read this, you have a second thought. Anyway, have a wonderful day and enjoy the rest of your week happy people.
When I was 13 years old I wanted to be a mechanical engineer.

Power Drunk Soldiers unleash terror on BRT Buses, Drivers, Passengers + Cause unnecessary Traffic on Ikorodu Road

So a soldier gets knocked down by a BRT bus in Lagos and other people have to suffer the consequences. What is the point in setting BRT buses on fire over this incident? I am not saying that it is right for BRT buses to knock people down (I know some of them drive really rough for no reason) but it doesn't also make sense to me for the buses to be set on fire by soldiers. innocent on-lookers and passengers were also harassed for no reason. I really think uniforms get people so drunk with power that they feel they are above the law and everyone else. Anyway, this is Naija - a country where anything goes. If you are affected by this unfortunate situation in any way, I hope you find your way out of Ikorodu road soon enough. And remember not to stress over something that you cannot change but accept it.

Remain happy and spread happiness around. More Photos

I love Lagos Drivers: Always in a Hurry to NOWHERE! (so funny)

I had an interesting experience yesterday on Lagos road and it reminded me of the importance of patience. Enjoy!I
I woke up with a good feeling today and I cannot explain why. Maybe I should say is one of those days when I feel amazing for no reason. I get a phone call from the guy I have a meeting with in Apapa at 10AM reminding me of the appointment. “It is only 6:45AM”, I thought and decided to stay in bed some more but then I suddenly realize that I am in Lagos- a city that needs you to leave your house at least 3 hours before your appointment if you don’t want to be late. Bearing this in mind, the urge for more rest literally disappeared and I hit the shower. Few minutes later, I was ready for my appointment so I got into the car and drove off.

"....being a gentleman is not Nigerian"

Sorry happy people for the late post, it is the situation in Lagos. Today's post is about a debate I was involved in. Someone claimed that being a gentleman is not Nigerian and African. I think that is a terrible excuse. What do you guys think about it? Read the story after the cut

It's never too late to live your DREAMs

Happy new month happy people! I hope that this month gives you some perspective. Here is something to help you get there, enjoy!
We all have dreams of the perfect life that we want for ourselves, the dream job, dream husband, dream wife, dream house and so on. Actualizing these dreams always seems almost impossible especially for some of us who don’t have the opportunity to. This often leads to people giving up their dreams and getting discouraged about everything in life. Some settle for a life that they dread.

"We did not win France but we will win the Cup in 2018" - Nigerian fans

The Super Eagles of Nigeria exits the 2014 FIFA World Cup but Nigerian fans are hopeful that they can win the cup in 2018. Great ambition I must say and I am glad we are taking this defeat well. I love Naija! lol

I am so proud of the growth in the Nigerian music industry and the musicians because they are gaining more international recognition for their hard work. I hope that the musicians focus on good and meaningful music and not just commercial music that has no meaning (lips sealed). The American rapper posted the pic on his Facebook page and captioned it "Africa is involved". Indeed!
