Xenophobia in SA: Displaced Nigerians seek refuge in Home Affairs, Pretoria

Due to recent xenophobic violence that has escalated in South Africa, some Nigerians who live in areas affected by the unlawful act by South Africans have made their way to the Department of Home Affairs in Pretoria to avoid being roasted or stoned to death. Shouldn't they rather be running to Nigerian High commission? It is well.
Please stay safe guys if you live around the areas affected. Stay happy too. Xoxo

....and the killings of foreigners in SA's #Afrophobic violence escalates

Recent attacks on foreigners in SA is not only sad but annoying too. The picture above shows how a foreign national was roasted in the 2008 Xenophobic attack. In 2015 we see a similar case in Durban and it saddens my heart. I am unable to comprehend the level of hate in this world. Ignorant people make up all sorts of excuse for their lack of tolerance. We are first of all humans before anything else and it's only when we acknowledge that that anything will change.

One dead and others injured in Akwa Ibom over politics [photo]

Does it always have to be about blood shed? If it is a do or die affair, then surely it's not about leadership. What is all the imposition about? There has been several reports about violent clashes in most states in Nigeria today. I'm not surprised but I was kind of hoping to be disappointed. Sadly, the people who probably won't gain anything from the political party's win or loss are the ones who get caught in this cross fire. Guys please stay safe. No politician or worth dying for mbok!  I'm sorry other photos are just too graphic to share.
Stay happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo.

... and the UCT #RhodesMustFall protest ends with the Fall of Rhodes

Awww the statue of Rhodes falls. Following a recent protest by students from the University of Cape Town, the statue of the late imperialist Cecil Rhodes has been removed from the University campus. The students who claimed the statue represented oppression and institutionalised racism staged a protest demanding the removal of it from the campus and it appears they succeeded. Okay guys well done! You made a noise and it was loud enough. My question now is, what next? Funniest thing is, his presence will always be felt in many ways (the funds, facilities, etc.). I hope that the removal ends institutionalised racism like you claim. Anyway, please stay happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo.

More Xenophobic attacks allegedly planned around South Africa?

Copy of ND GREENWOODPARK 2 (49988807)

The picture above shows some displaced foreigners who were affected by the recent Xenophobic attack in Durban. Reports reaching me via email states that more of such attacks are allegedly being "planned" around South Africa. I cannot confirm how true this is because I haven’t witnessed any around me. However, if you have witnessed anything please let us know. In the meantime, here is one of such message just as a warning.

Please be warned! Xenophobic attacks planned around South Africa. Avoid speaking on phone in taxis, buses, trains and public spaces. Remember it’s for your own safety.

Oh no! Heavy duty vehicle falls on cars in Lagos [photos]

Oh dear! Just imagine meeting this misfortune. Can these trailer drivers be more careful please? A trailer fell on about three vehicles at Berger yard around Mile 2 heading to Apapa this morning. Guys, please stay as far away as possible from these vehicles as this may happen at any time. Anyway, stay happy. Xoxo. More photos below....

HUH? "The Statue of Nelson Mandela must go"?

Protesters gather around the offending Mandela statue.
This has got to be the joke of the century. What is it with statues in South Africa? First it was the statue of Cecil Rhodes in University of Cape Town now it's Mandela's in University of Pretoria? Mandela though?

According to Banana Newsline, thousands of students from the University of Pretoria marched to the Union Buildings and demanded that Nelson Mandela’s statue be removed.

“The traitor must go,” they chanted, as they covered the statue with black refuse bags.

“Madiba sold our people out when he negotiated with the whites,” explained Thoko Tsetste, who instigated the protest. “It’s because of him that white farmers still have land.”

Oh no!!! Please what or who is this now? [photo]

Really now? Art is supposed to be beautiful! This was seen on Lion's head Cape Town. First it was a painting now a statue! Please can someone explain this to the rest of us because I am not so sure hey.

Anyway, please stay happy and have a productive week. Xoxo

"We will plug corruption and crush Boko Haram in 2 Months" - Gen. Buhari

Nigeria's president-elect Gen. Buhari has promised to 'plug' corruption and crush Boko Haram in 2 months of getting into office. He told CNN's Amanpour from Abuja last night;

“We know how they started and where they are now and we will rapidly give attention to security in the country. And I believe we will effectively deal with them in two months when we get into office. We will be needing the cooperation of neighbouring countries such as Cameroon, Chad and Niger. There were efforts made by the President Goodluck Jonathan administration, but it was not good enough and it came rather late”

Five Reasons President Johnathan lost to Buhari [Opinion]

Hanging out with the wrong people:
Mr President was always having dinners with celebrities and not so good advisers. He should have known better than to surround himself with so called celebrities who make up a minority of Nigerians. A youth interactive session made up of a small fraction of the youths is definitely not enough to get votes.

Underestimating Buhari the same way he underestimated Boko Haram: It’s funny how he never saw this coming. I believe it was a thing of, “he lost before, why won’t he lose now?” He however, forgot that nothing lasts forever. Well, I guess it’s his thing or bad advisers, not sure which one. He did the same with Boko Haram like he said.

... between Tinubu and Buhari (photo)

There is Tinubu paying his respect to the new President in a truly Yoruba style. It is well. Anyway, please stay happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo.

Just for laughs: Presidential election craziness (Lol)

Okay guys, the presidential election is finally over so we all can let off steam by having a good laugh. So what if your candidate lost? I just love Naija sha! I am just glad that I will stop seeing #celebrityhangoutwithpresident online. Misplaced priorities.... Please enjoy and stay happy. Xoxo

History made in Nigeria as Buhari emerges as Nigeria's new President elect

After a long wait and what seemed like an unending suspense, INEC has finally announced APC’s General Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of the just concluded presidential election. Buhari defeated PDP’s Goodluck Jonathan with over 2 million votes with actual results as; APC: 15,416,221 and PDP: 12,853,162 votes. This shall go down in the history of Nigeria. Change is here! I only hope that it benefits all Nigerians including the working class who have been marginalised for so long. To all my happy readers that have been asking me why I wasn’t posting anything on the elections, I don’t do politics. I only comment when necessary and at the right time. Thanks for your support and love though and stay happy. Xoxo.
