Na wah o! What is wrong with this "The Punch" front page?

There's really nothing I won't see in this world! Seriously? Is this part of campaign or what? I'm not for or against any political party but this ad is really uncalled for. It's more of a death wish on someone than anything else. Politicians should try and have limits ni ahan! To win shouldn't be by all means.
Anyway, please remain happy and desist from inciting violence in any way. Xoxo

Photo of day: petrol price reduction explained in mathematics

Petrol has been reduced by N10 in Nigeria and the question is, is that a reasonable reduction? Some Nigerians on twitter do not think so. The picture above was posted by a user with the handle, @whytehabeeb and I think it makes a whole lot of sense. Nigerians will not remain fools forever o. What do you guys think?

Please remain happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo

"You Are Single But Not Stupid" - by Dominic Nsikan

Dominic Nsikan

First, when a guy demands sex from you in order to prove that you love him, tell him you are single but not stupid.

Secondly, When a guy demands sex from you to prove if both of you are sexually compatible; tell him you are single but not stupid.

Thirdly, when a lady freely undresses and changes her clothes in your presence under the pretext that you are close friends, run brother run, you are single but not stupid.

"How Long Will Nigerians Remain Fools?" - Etcetera shares his thoughts on Nigerian politics

Come February Nigerians will ‘vote’ and people will somehow be elected to office. The aspirants are doing everything possible to convince or confuse Nigerians that something will change and our “mumu button” will be pressed. Hmm I am waiting in full expectation. Anyway, Etcetera’s article says everything about the “mumu button” of Nigerians. Enjoy the article below
In Nigeria, there are three classes of people: The Masses, The Politicians, and The Rich. The masses are the puppets, the politicians the hand that controls the puppets and the rich the hand that controls the politicians. The politicians have the system totally rigged in their favour. They have made it compulsory for the masses to vote from a list selected by them knowing that as blind as the masses are, they may never realise they can actually have a choice.

150 people died in the terror attack on Baga not 2000 - Defence HQ

So reports had it that 2000 lives were lost in the terror attack on the town of Baga last week. As always, government officials were too busy with election campaign to refute or confirm the report. A week later, the Nigerian military has released a statement saying that from all evidences (best known to them) ‘only’ 150 people died as opposed to the 2000 people contained in media reports.

Okay, thank goodness it is ‘only’ 150 people and not 2000. However, my question is what does it matter if the number is 150 or 2000? Point is, lives that should not be lost were lost and nothing has been done about it. Join the online campaign #pray for Nigeria and keep praying hopefully God will come down and save us. Read the press statement below and in the meantime, remain happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo

25 year old man arrested for defiling an 85 year old woman?

Wonders they say will never end! It is true that controlling our body members is the most difficult thing to do but really? A 25 year old defiling an 85 year old woman? What is that? Was he really sex starved or plain crazy. According to reports, the Nigeria Police Force has released a press statement on a criminal, one Familola Ayodeji who has been wanted but now caught by the police. The accused was arrested for allegedly defiling an 85-year old great grandmother on Christmas day in Ekiti.  Press release by the Police below.

"I don't want to be identified by how much wealth I acquire but by how many young lives I affect positively"- Ms Umana on being a Mandela Rhodes Scholar

Life has taught me very important lessons and I am not where I want to be yet but I have moved to a certain level through hard work. One of the reward of such hard work is the fact that I was recently awarded the Mandela Rhodes Scholarship for my post-graduate studies. Oh well, the Division for Post Graduate Studies in the University of the Western Cape decided to interview me and I have decided to share the interview with you happy people. It’s quite a long interview but it’s worth the read. Enjoy!
How did it feel to hear you are a Mandela Rhodes Scholar?
I had just returned from writing my first exam and was trying to have lunch when my phone rang. I saw it beep beside me and when I answered, I heard, “am I speaking to Beauty (yeah my other name is Beauty) Umana?” “Yes”, I responded. "Beauty I am calling from the Mandela Rhodes Foundation to inform you that you have been awarded the Mandela Rhodes scholarship for 2015". Oh dear! I was numb for a minute trying to take in the information.

Say NO to Domestic Violence: Woman bulldozed by husband for alledgedly greeting pastor

I read some things and I get really furious. I cannot comprehend why any man would beat up a woman for any reason in this world. The woman pictured above was beaten up by her husband for allegedly greeting her pastor. Like really? It’s unfortunate that the Nigerian society continues to glorify the irresponsibility of these men who deserve to be locked up in the zoo.

Domestic violence is one thing no woman should tolerate no matter the circumstance. Once a man hits you once and you accept his apology, you set yourself up for worse situations that if not checked may lead to death. I can’t stand it when a woman says, “I am praying hard that he changes” or “I provoked him, I just have to stop provoking him”. You need to love yourself more than any man and that means removing yourself from such unnecessary situations. Please love should never bring you pain. It should be beautiful.

Please read the woman’s story below if you are interested. Remain happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo

Former President IBB refers to self as a saint as opposed to Johnathan, claims his government was better

Finger pointing is so part of us as humans. I don’t think President Johnathan is the best leader Nigeria has seen. I am just saying who is better? I have been bombarded with disturbing headlines recently where some former Presidents are saying their government was better. Former President Obasanjo has been taking the lead in this and now we have the Former Military President, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida referring to himself as a saint compared to President Johnathan.

“Maybe I have to accept that but anybody with a sense of fairness has no option but to call us saints. I give you an example, in a year; I was making less than $7 billion in oil revenue but in the same period there were governments that were making between $200 billion and $300 billion

Gospel according to Seun Kuti about IBB and Obasanjo's better government

So recently former Presidents, IBB and Obasanjo have been telling Nigerians that Nigeria was better under their rule than now under current president Johnathan. Hmm what can I say? That is not how I remember it though or maybe I was too young to know. How old were you during their regimes? Please tell us what we don't know already. For now I totally think Seun Kuti is so right. We are so indifferent about this great country; hence, the continued corruption and suffering.
Anyway, remain happy and spread happiness around. Xoxo

Don't be afraid of change: the Devil you know is not always better than the Angel you don't know

It’s incredible how we sometimes allow fear of the unknown to stop us from doing the things we should. Sometimes we find ourselves dealing with things we shouldn’t deal with. We know the right thing to do but we don’t do it simply because we are afraid of change.

Until recently, I was in that position. Everything else was going on well in my life except my love life. It was the only thing dark and sad. You know how you meet someone and you give him everything only to get nothing back in return? That’s what happened between my boyfriend and I. While I was busy working hard for a better life and our relationship, he was busy running after everything in skirt. I endured heartaches, emotional abuse, psychological abuse and so on just because of this thing called love.
